Update on Life!
Wow it's been quite some time since I wrote a blog post! I'm sorry about that but things have just been pretty standard. There hasn't been a whole lot going on that's been worth writing about really. I'm really really enjoying my job in the Admissions office. It fits easily in with my schedule and it's been pretty easy to jump into. In my Intro to Social Justice class, we've been reading some awesome books that are on topics that I'm really passionate about such as the Deaf community, racial inequality, and human rights. I've learned so much in the last month of school that is relevant to my major and it makes me so much more excited to be pursuing this career path. Statistics actually hasn't been as scary as I thought it was going to be. So far it's just been a review from my AP Statistics class in high school and my professor does a really great job at keeping things slow.
In exciting news, I have a boyfriend! We'll call him DH on the blog. We met last semester in Wind Ensemble but didn't really talk much and then we got into a Group Message with some of the other people in our section and sort of started talking more. Starting at the beginning of this semester, we just hit it off and began talking more and more regularly. We have a lot in common, including the fact that we are both big nerds, we both play trumpet, we love Spongebob, and we have just really clicked. I'm super excited to see where it goes.
AA finally finished our room decorations so I can finally show you all pictures! It looks so good and I'm really proud of her creative talents.
I guess that's all I have to fill you all in on! I'm going to try to write more often, even if it's just silly posts that aren't about college and life and whatnot. ~Em
