A New Thrift Store?

How Have I Never Been To This Thrift Store???

So most of you guys know by now that I have a teensy tiny thrift shopping addiction. Ok just kidding. I am super addicted to thrifting. I think that about half to three-quarters of my wardrobe is now comprised of thrifted clothing and I am still working hard at my ebay store. Yesterday, my grandma texted me and said that she was driving by a thrift store in town called Teen Challenge Thrift Store and they had a sign in the window that said Dollar Sale. I got excited and of course had to go and check it out. I had never been to the Teen Challenge Thrift Store which helps a local Women's Ministry raise money, but I had driven past on my way to other thrift stores in town. So when I got to the store, it turns out that there wasn't a Dollar Sale that day, but a $5 Bag Sale. I asked the girl at the counter to explain to me how the sale worked and she basically told me that I could fill a brown paper bag with as many items as I could, with some exclusions. I was stoked! I made my way through the store and it was very clean and organized, which made me happy. I ended up with 15 items in my bag for $5 which meant that I got each item for about 33 cents! I also found some neat pins for my denim jacket that I am decorating, so I ended up spending just $6. Needless to say, I will definitely be going back to see what more I can find in the future!

I believe that my mom and I, and maybe my sister if we can convince her to go, are going to make a trip to the Goodwill Outlet this weekend, which is my new-found favorite thrift store, so that is very exciting for my little thrifting heart! I think it would be fun for me to share with you guys my favorite thrift finds that I have, so I will probably do a post soon with pictures of pieces and outfits that I have thrifted and love! Stay tuned for more posts! ~Em

Sophomore/Junior Year is Complete!

I'm a Senior!!!

It's almost impossible to believe that I am a senior now! My sophomore/junior year was full of amazing opportunities that I am so thankful to have been given and that I was so lucky to get to experience! I am awful about taking pictures at things I do, so I don't have very many to recap this year with, but I will definitely do my best!
Debutante Ball Round 2

Suitemate's Temporary Emotional Support Animal

A Night Out

Academic Awards Banquet

Lecture with Dr, Jane Chu

Outstanding Junior in Sociology Award

Rollerblading with AA

Tiger Serve Day Round 3

Tiger Tunes Round 2

Halloween 2016
This is just a small fraction of all the awesome things I got to do this past school year! I got to play the National Anthem at an Arkansas Traveler's game, work as a telecounselor in the Admissions Office, play in the pit for Fiddler on the Roof, see the Conway Symphony Orchestra's performance of Danny Elfman's music from Tim Burton films, became a member of the Ouachita Student Foundation, was elected the Vice President of Membership for our chapter of SAI, started selling on ebay, and many many more exciting things!

For this summer, I have been accepted for an internship at the Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness Clinic in Hot Springs. I will be working for their C.L.I.M.B. program, which is working with preschool students. I'm also going to be working on building up my ebay store some more, which means lots of thrifting!!! And to end my summer with a bang, I get to go on a research trip to California with my mentor, his wife, my adviser, AA, and one of my other good friends! It's a two and a half week long trip that will end the week before I have to move back to school for pre-school band. It should be an awesome and eventful summer and I'm really excited for all of the experience that I will be getting!

Since the school year is over I will be blogging a lot more and hopefully be sharing a lot of my adventures with you guys! I can't wait! ~Em
