Family On My Side

THE FAMILY POST

Here's a little insight on the craziness that is my family. It can get kind of confusing so might as well serve the best explanation of my enormous family! My parents divorced when I was six and each parent is now happily remarried and I have been blessed with great stepparents and stepsiblings on either side! 

Mom's Family

In the middle of the picture sitting down is me and my precious pup, Winnie. To my right is my sister who I will refer to as A in my posts. On her left is my beautiful mom and beside her is my stepdad. Along with my stepdad I was blessed two more siblings, S, my stepbrother, and O, my stepsister. My mom and stepdad have been married for 5 years and are such a blessing to have. My mom had me when she was only 19 years old so we have grown up very close to each other. My mom is the director of the preschool program at the school she teaches at and she taught Kindergarten for almost 10 years. My stepdad owns a couple businesses, one in which he welds and the other he makes lock systems for places like WalMart and Lady FootLocker. A is my only sister related to me by blood so we have a very special bond. She's a junior in high school. She is a co-captain on the dance team and enjoys participating in the theater program. S and O live with their mom in a city that's about 45 minutes from where I live. They get to come down to stay with their dad every other weekend and for six weeks during the summer. S is a freshman in high school who enjoys sports and videogames. O is in the 7th grade. She is a member of the band and plays volleyball.

Dad's Family

On the left is me pictured again :) Standing in the middle is my stepmom who graced me with my two awesome stepsisters. My stepsister T is standing to my right and my other stepsister V is on the right of A. In the middle sitting down in my lovely dad. My dad was also 19 when I was born so we have been very close as I have grown up as well. V and I were already very good friends before we became steps so our relationship is really close too. My dad and stepmom have been married for almost 13 years and I am so blessed to have them both. My dad is a World History teacher at the high school my sisters and I have attended and he was chosen as my high school's Teacher of the Year last year! My stepmom is a pharmacist and has worked in pharmacies all over the surrounding area. V is a sophomore in college at St. Louis University where she is majoring in Theater and minoring in Mass Comm. She has already participated in several plays in her college career and will hopefully continue her theatrical passion. T is a freshman in high school and is a member of the soccer team. 

So there you have the basic run down of each of my families! We keep very busy and enjoy spending time together playing games, watching movies, and just being around each other. I love each and every one of them with all of my heart!  ~ Em
