Tuesday/Thursday Classes
If there is one thing I have learned so far in this new semester, it is certainly that my Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to be long and tiresome. On Tuesdays I go to class from 8:30-3:15 with no breaks in between and on Thursdays I have the same schedule except I get a break from 10-10:50. All of my more difficult classes happen to fall on these days as well. I am doubling up on Sociology classes this semester because I am working toward graduating early. Since sociology is my major, I know that the two Soc classes that I'm taking will be important and beneficial for my future. I'm also taking Intermediate Spanish 2 and while Spanish is my second major, it is pretty difficult to grasp at the college level. Especially because I had a gap year in high school where I didn't take a Spanish class, it really threw off my learning groove. I also am required to take a class called Bible Interpretation where I will eventually have to write a 13 page exegetical (a proper interpretation of an assigned section of scripture.) All of the upperclassmen talk about exegeticals like they are the actual spawn of Satan, so that is quite intimidating but my professor seems very kind and eager to teach us how to interpret the Bible as it should be.
Today was super gloomy. It rained ALL day long and it was about 38 degrees throughout the day. That made it really difficult to enjoy my classes and not only that but rain always make me extremely sleepy, so I day-dreamed about napping quite a bit too. I'm really excited to have my adviser as a professor again. I'm taking her Sociology of the Community class this semester and it seems very interesting!
AA and I have started watching a show on Netflix called Reign. It's based on Mary, Queen of Scots, but has a sort of modern twist. AA has already watched Season 1 and 2, but she's rewatching them with me and things are starting to get intense! It is a really good show and I'm always on my toes at the end of each episode, waiting to see what will happen next.
Through the night and into tomorrow for us Arkansans, we're supposed to have inclement weather, so I pray that everyone is particularly cautious and accommodates for the rain, sleet, snow, slush, whatever happens!
