What I Think About My Classes
With the second day of being back to class finished, I am under the impression that this is going to be a pretty great semester! Thankfully, I feel like I am going to have a pretty light load when it comes to actual classwork. I'm taking 16.5 hours this semester, which is the least I have taken since my very first semester in college. I pretty much have the exact same time schedule as last semester except for an added lab. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I start out the day with Scientific Inquiry which is just a basic science class for people who are not science majors. I then go to one of my first classes that I'm taking for my Psychology minor, which is Human Development. After that I have one of the upper level classes for my major, Research Methods, which is going to be interesting this semester because it is being based on one of our senior's independent studies on a study the university did last semester. Then I have an hour for lunch and my last class of the day is General Psychology with the Dean of Social Sciences as the professor, which I think it going to be incredible. On Monday and Wednesday nights I have Wind Ensemble rehearsal and later in the semester we will go on tour and have several concerts/performances. Though these are my busy days, judging by the syllabi that I got for my classes, I don't feel like these will be overwhelming with work. On Tuesday, my only class besides Chapel is Fine Art: Music, which shouldn't be very hard for me at all. My professor for that class is my marching band and basketball band director so it will probably pretty fun. On Thursday I have lab for Scientific Inquiry and then Fine Art: Music later on in the day. I'm really hoping that after the tough workload I had last semester, this will be a small break for me and be a slightly more relaxed semester. We do not have as many basketball games this semester since we had mostly home games last year. Truthfully, the only negative thing I have to say so far about this semester is that our internet connection has been absolutely terrible. We will have internet for 30 minutes and then it will be out for 2 hours or so, which is extremely annoying with trying to get access for my classes on Moodle and such. With that being said, I'm trying my best to keep blogging every day, but with the internet connection, it is proving to be fairly difficult. That's the main reason that I did a Wordless Wednesday yesterday. I'm doing everything I can to keep up and I hope that I can keep posting quality posts for all of you who read my blog! ~Em
