My Most Embarrassing Moment... EVER! 😳
I have decided that today I want to share with you the single most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me. I have been embarrassed plenty of times in my life, and this event happened such a long time ago, but it has stayed with me because of just how embarrassing it truly was for me. Feel free to laugh as you read through and hopefully you won't get second-hand embarrassment from reading this story.
So at my elementary school, we had this challenge called Tarzan Club. I think it became a thing when I was in fourth grade and everyone wanted to be a part of this club. To get into this club, you had to be able to climb both a knotted rope and an unknotted rope. For several weeks, basically all of the students would practice climbing the ropes during recess and every few days our P.E. teacher would be out at recess to write down the names of people who could climb the ropes and made it into the club. I was a major tom-boy during my elementary and middle school days so I wanted to prove myself to all of my guy friends. The girls generally went first when our P.E. teacher was out there taking names and on this particular day, I was the last girl to go. All of the boys were lined up behind me, waiting for their turn to try to make it into the Tarzan Club. On this day, I was wearing a pair of the infamous gauchos. Anyone else remember the gaucho days? Because my sisters and I practically lived in them in the early to mid-2000s. I had already gotten my name written down on the knotted rope a few days before, because that was a piece of cake for me and on this day I was attempting the unknotted rope. I was feeling really strong and confident, especially with all of my guy friends watching me climb. I take a deep breath and start climbing. In order for the climb to count, we had to touch the wooden beam at the top before coming down. I easily scaled my way up the rope and right as I was about to get to the top, my foot got caught in one of the legs of my gauchos and they were yanked down around my ankles. I freaked out because all of the guys were watching me, I touched the wooden beam so I could secure my spot in the Tarzan Club and then basically I just let go of the rope and dropped to the ground. As soon as my feet hit the ground, I grabbed my gauchos from around my ankles and yanked them up. I'm pretty sure I just started running to some of my girl friends so I could freak out and tell them what had just happened. I probably tried to avoid my guy friends for a few days just to keep away from the embarrassment, but I do know for sure that I will never forget this event in my life.

Well, there you have it guys, the most embarrassing moment in my life. I hope you all got a kick out of it and are as thankful as me that gauchos are not in style anymore. ~Em
